Desireé Luszcz is the “Maker of Interesting Things” behind Black Cat Barn Art & Design based in Bordentown City. Desireé started her career as an artist at her mom’s kitchen table, and went on to study Printmaking, Fiber Arts, and Art Education at Syracuse University. In another lifetime, she was a middle and high school Art teacher in Somerset County. Desireé currently instructs workshops, and teen clay classes at Leaping Dog Art Studios. Her works, completed in various media including clay, watercolor, fibers, and print, are informed by travel, fairy tales, language, and a love of the natural world. Desireé often takes photographic snapshots, like the one presented here, for visual reference in future works.
